People/Friends know me as the guy, who is always happy and smiling, and sometimes I am, but you never know what someone is going through. Many nights I cry myself to sleep because I just don't have the same family support that many get to experience. The story of my life it’s not the script I would have written for myself, but the Author of Salvation knows just what to put in the chapters to give me hope to advance to the next page of my life.
His ability to love and compassion for people, especially children is unheard of. This 16 year old brother has taught me, a 23 year old disciple, a new meaning of what it really means to love people unconditionally. His influence in my life is pure and drastic; we have our silly moments, our #Bromance moments, our “I can’t stand you” moments, our Holy Spirit filled moments, our Prayer time, and our edification moments. I clearly believe and understand that people come into our lives for a small season, and few will be the people that come into your life for a lifetime. I say that to say the following, Cristiano Porto, has impacted my life, and he states the same about me. So I understand this, God puts everyone in your life for a reason. It's either to make you stronger, or make them stronger, but oddly enough we are both becoming stronger with each other’s help. For a lifetime or not, in this season of my life God is writing a script in the perfect pages, in a chapter in which I needed the most. As I was writing this blog, the Holy Spirit spoke these words into my heart:
"But forget the past, do not dwell on it—it’s nothing compared to what I am going to do." - God (Isaiah 43:18)
Then I remember the verse that always brings joy to my heart, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” –Genesis 50:20
I’ll finish with this; there are some people in this world for which I would die for. I have them listed, and each day I pause to thank God for them by name and to fellowship with them though miles may separate us. Paul said in Philippians 1:7 that he had the Philippian people in his heart. In verse 8 he expressed his longing for them. True friends should have each other in their hearts and should have such soul fellowship that nothing can separate them. So church let me encourage you with this: A true friend leads one to righteousness. A true friend enables his friend to become a better believer and follower of Christ. A true friend is Cristiano, a brother whom I am very happy to have a in my life. Identify who that person is in your life and honor one another, lift each other up. “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. –Romans 12:10.
